Today is a transition, as we turn the page from the arrows in our spiritual quiver to the call towards maturity in our lives. We discuss the recent outpouring at Asbury college, what God is doing today and what our responsibility is, if any, as we move forward.

Tammy graduated from UGA and Asbury Seminary and is the founder and director of K-Ministries located in South Asia. She is part of the Vintage family! We welcome Tammy to the pulpit to share about obstacles we encounter to experiencing the fullness of Jesus.

Mark Nyswander helps us look at a discipline we rarely use or have never used-fasting. We’ll also explore one of its greatest benefits: communion with Jesus.

This week we will look at the spiritual discipline of generosity and how it helps us seek Jesus, bless others, and can change us. Generosity represents the first part of the Lent season, an act that reminds us of Jesus' life of sacrifice expressed in loving others by giving the best of himself to those in need.

As we continue looking at the disciplines of the Christian faith, Steve unpacks healing and how God still performs healing miracles today.

This week we pause. We pause for an interlude of sorts. We pause and think about the natural outcomes of putting Jesus first. We will recap the arrows filling our quiver and reflect. We take time to look and see what happens when we place God first and make Jesus the priority in our lives.

Steve Hambrick puts another Jesus First arrow in our quiver as we talk about Worship. We will look at John 12, focusing our thoughts on what we can learn from Mary of Bethany’s extravagant act of love for Jesus and how we can apply it today. We will define worship, talk about why it is more than just singing, and why it is so foundational to everything we do in life.

Like a quiver full of arrows, we possess many actions or spiritual disciplines that enable us to experience God’s presence and keep Jesus First in our lives. Steve Hambrick discusses an activity that is a foundation for them all…Practicing the Presence of Jesus. In it, we will build confidence in who God is and how He intends to relate to us on a daily basis. We will unpack our responsibility in it and God’s responsibility. We will talk about how living acutely aware of God’s presence is uniquely empowering and how it can revolutionize our spiritual life.

We take our next step in keeping Jesus First as we focus on the dangers of hurriedness and the gifts of silence and solitude. Our belief is simple…keeping Jesus first in life requires us slowing down, making space to hear and experience God, and embracing a lifestyle that keeps us on pace with with Him. It doesn’t happen by chance, but instead requires our honest life assessment and disciplined choice. We feel this is a prophetic message for every Christ follower and if embraced can change your life!

We continue our “Jesus First” journey as we look at Scripture. Mike Farley discusses what it is, why we read it, and some helpful ideas on how to make it a part of the pursuit of Jesus.

The Advent of PEACE. The good news (Gospel) is that the King has come, and peace on earth is now present because the Prince of Peace is here. This is amazing news! This is the fulfillment of centuries of waiting. The Messiah has come!

Steve Hambricks delves into what it means to carry JOY amid chaos and disorder. We will look to and focus on the ONE who brings us joy!

The advent of love. The call and reminder of O Come, O Come, Emmanuel reminds us that Emmanuel has come, and it is also a cry for Jesus to come to our aid every day.

This morning, we will dive into the last section of Titus chapter 3. Paul will be reminding us of who we were before Jesus saved us, the power behind God's love in pursuing us, and our call now to love “not yet Christians” in a way that will lead them to the good news.

This morning, we will be in looking at verses 1-2 of Titus chapter 3. Paul reengages his teaching around right action; this time, he focuses on our actions in the public sphere of life. He is challenging the church in Crete on how they invest in and do good in the world around them. Their actions will promote the gospel on a macro level in culture. It will be interesting to note how this perspective impacts our view of business, politics, and the needs of our community.

This week, we will take our next step in Paul’s letter to Titus as we focus on the heart and soul of Paul’s teaching. Last week, we focused on the power of right actions to proclaim the gospel, and this week, we will focus on the grace and power available to us all to make those things happen. Our whole study hinges on these verses from chapter 2.

This morning, we will turn our attention to Paul’s teaching to Titus about the power of our actions and how they impact our community. What we say and what we do are of equal importance, and we are responsible for both. What did Paul say and what does it mean for us?
